Gender-affirming care
Affirming therapy for transgender, nonbinary and gender-expansive adults, by telehealth anywhere in Washington, Idaho and Utah. If there is no affirming therapist near you, distance does not have to be the barrier.
Two ways to work with me
Ongoing therapy
Space to explore identity, work through what is hard, and build the skills that help: DBT, trauma-informed care, and support around family, work, faith, coming out, or transition. You set the pace.
Regular session fees and insurance apply. See Fees & Insurance →
Letters for hormones or surgery
Three assessment sessions, followed by a letter that meets the WPATH Standards of Care (Version 8). It is collaborative: I am not a gatekeeper, and you are the expert on your own gender.
- $125 covers all three sessions and the letter.
- If your surgeon or insurer needs another or an updated letter, the first one is free.
- Each letter after that is $25.
This path is self-pay and is not billed to insurance. You pay the $125 when you book, and I will be in touch to schedule our three sessions.
Good to know
- For adults 18 and over.
- You need to be in Washington, Idaho or Utah during each session.
- Most surgeons now accept one letter under WPATH Version 8. Some surgeons and insurers still ask for two, or for one from a doctorate-level clinician. Check with your surgeon, and I will help you work out what you need.
- Idaho Medicaid and Idaho state employee plans currently do not cover hormones or surgery for gender affirmation. A letter can still be part of your planning, so ask me about it.
- Your letter goes only to the people you name, with your written permission.
- For telehealth, a private space helps: a parked car, a closed room, headphones. We will plan for privacy together.
How to start
- Email me. You do not need to explain why; a subject line like “Gender-affirming care” is enough.
- For the letter path, book with the payment button below. I will be in touch to schedule our three sessions.
Questions before you book? Email me first. Lori to confirm: refund if no letter is issued
